Commercial Vehicle and Motor Fleet
We are able to provide cover for both your individual commercial vehicles, or where there are a number of vehicles, provide the option of a fleet policy. A fleet policy can be available normally where there is a minimum of 5 vehicles.
Motor Fleet
Essentially a motor fleet policy is an arrangement in which all of a company's vehicles and drivers are covered by a blanket policy.
Motor fleet exists to simplify arrangements to the point where separate 'fleet' policy wordings have been introduced by many insurers in order that all vehicles owned or operated by a company can be insured under one policy.
The fleet policy is able to cater for almost all types of vehicles including commercial vehicles, special types (plant type vehicles e.g. excavators, forklifts etc) and private cars.
It is unlikely that there will be restrictions on individual drivers. Arrangements are more likely to be made on an 'open driving' basis with blanket cover in force.
